Happy Howl-o-ween

Halloween is such a fun holiday, and I feel sorry if you don't agree. I'm not saying it's my favorite holiday, but there's something so fun about being able to get creative and dress up for a night or two.

What's even more fun is having something adorable to get to dress up too! To any parents out there, this would apply to your children, but for me, this meant putting Millie in the silliest, spookiest outfits for a whole week and documenting them all on her instagram.

I've always loved dressing her up in everything from her denim vest to children's t-shirts and every color of bandana on the planet. Before you say anything about my dog-parenting: I know it's not her favorite thing to do, but she's very good about it, she's never in pain or seriously uncomfortable, and she's only ever wearing her costumes for the picture, so about 5 minutes.

Below are all of her ensembles from Millie's Seven Spooky Days of Halloween, and ending with her grand finale costume from Halloween night.

Day One: Fierce Dragon

Last year I went dressed as Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones, and Millie was briefly a dragon for a quick photo together. This year, I went a little farther and put on this adorable little dragon hat to complete her look.

Super ferocious, right?

Day 2: Cutest Pumpkin

This was an impulse buy because it was too darn cute to pass up! I sometimes buy millie bibs because they work as cute little bandanas and they're more readily available in souvenir shops (I also got her one from London!)

The cutest pumpkin in the WORLD.

Day 3: Serious Sailor

Ahoy! This was a human costume ensemble that I had put out to take pictures of Millie wearing, but she got bored while I was at class and chewed up the headband part of the hat! So I had to improvise and pin it back together for the picture.

She looks ready to set sail, don't ya think?

Day 4: Millie Mouse

Once again this is sort of recycled from last year, but this year Millie was much more cooperative with wearing the ears. She also ate the headband to this piece but it was easier to put back together, and looked just as cute!

She's begging me to take her to Magic Kingdom.

Day 5: You. Are. A. TOY!

Many of the costumes in my possession are hand-me-downs from my many generations of sorority girls, but they sure came in handy for Millie! I used to watch this movie all the time, and thought it would be so fun to be this iconic duo with my best pal.

To infinity and beyond!

Day 6: Udderly Ridiculous

Once again an awesome hand-me-down, this cow costume was one of our favorites. She just looked SO DARN CUTE and although it took a lot of patience to keep those ears on, it paid off. The shirt was a little big and she was tripping over it, but if we got a smaller shirt, I would definitely take her trick or treating in this one.

Moo.

Day 7: TMNT (Teenage Millie Ninja Turtle)

This one was kind of thrown together last minute since I hadn't planned on this being one of her looks, and it turned out to be so adorable! She was so good about keeping her little mask on and it highlighted her pretty eyes so well! We might have to keep this in mind for any costume parties we attend...

The Ninja Turtles like to eat pizza, right? She would fit in perfectly.

HALLOWEEN: Stranger Things Have Happened

Our GRAND FINALE costume as Eleven and Chief Jim Hopper! I had been planning this one ever since she was a young pup and I fell in love with the show. In case you've never seen Stranger Things, Eleven is played by Millie Bobby Brown, and might've subconsciously given me the idea for a name. Either way, the show is great and we had a blast with the costume. Millie was such a good girl about the wig and, true to her character, was easily bribed by an Eggo waffle.

Millie Puppy Brown?

We hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween! We're looking forward to Thanksgiving and enjoying the rest of our semester down here in Miami. Don't forget to follow @suitelifeofmillie on instagram!
